  • 735 and 736

What ever happened to the 736? Is it still in production? Also who operates the 735 and or the 736 besides UA and SAS? I know WN operated the 735 for a little while.

SAS (airline) never had 735. In the SAS group there is lots of 735's; Estonian, Air Baltic, Braathens...

It's still around. I'm sure as long as the rest of the 737NG series is made, the 736 will continue to be made.

One more question is why would Boeing produce the 717 and 736 at the same time? The 736 seems to be a far better plane in terms of range, weight, etc wise.

The order backlog is 17 airplanes, with 3 to be delivered to WestJet this year. ILFC has 9 on order, and an unidentified customer has 5.

Good question. Neither one is very popular. However, just because the 736 may have advantages over the 717, doesn't make it a great plane when compared to other 737s or the A320 family.

Yup, all at gatwick. BA only occasionally use 1 733 into LHR.....usually A320's though.

For the mean time.....I heard somewhere(Cant remember where,) that ANA are chopping the 735's from service for some NG 737's.

I've heard that too. They will be replacing the A320/A321 fleet with 737s as well.
