Standby fares? No, we had a whole bunch of Seat Sales added to our system for alot of the stranded passengers. Of course like any other airline, it is subject to availibility, and unfortunately I guess we can't always please everyone. We were offering a $35 standby fare to help out the JetsGo crew, but we were selling confirmed seats for their ex-passengers.

You are %100 correct. I completely agree, and now other airlines are getting slack for that.

So YWG Chick, is it becomming more difficult/hectic now that Jetsgo's gone?

My father hasnt gone to work, not time for a shift, but I imagine when he gets back there will be a lot of freight to book ect...

You think they would be deciding and saying no to bookings? What the hell is up with Leblanc (aka Lyle Lanly Simpsons Monorial guy)?

                  ACMan....
Things have been suprizingly smooth at WestJet (here in YWG). We all had mixed emotions (natually). All our flights were sold out (or damn close to it), but all flights were ontime, there were line ups, but we had some extra CSA's come in to work to help out, it was great. Alot of Jetsgo passengers were upset that we couldn't give them an answer about them getting their money back (???). The call center in YYC was ringing off the hook. Usually when you call, if all agents are on the phone, you will be put on hold, but there was only a busy signal! They had managers answering the phones who've never done that before. We had forcasted making an extra $700,000 by the end of the day, but we had made over $3 million before 10am!! NUTS.

Suprisingly, Air Canada's new CASM is only $0.12. Look out WestJet...
