Well...I guess it was just a bad expirence that my grandparents had with them but it was much different than what you say. Their flight was delayed 1 day going there and about 5 hours comming home. Mind you they did get over 50% of their money back, so I guess it could be worse.

My Fav. would be Air Transat, but I really miss those L1011s.
            Thanks,
            Michael

How could they be your favorite Charter Airline, if you didn't know if they were one in the first place?

                  YOU MUST BE KIDDING!!!!!!!!!!!

In August 1992 flew this pathetic excuse for an airline from LHA-YOW in the most crowded 752 I ever have experienced. Dirty plane, dirty crew uniforms, cramped seating, etc etc. It made the military 707s look like flying palaces in comparison. This is the same outfit that blew the tires on takeoff from Jeddah in a DC8-61 in 1991, retracted the undercarriage anyways, lit the wing on fire and killed 269. Also had the misfortune to fly these fools from YVR-YOW in '87 on a DC8-61, which was over 12 hours late by the time we got there. They had an abslutely horrible maintenance record, non existant customer service....the Tower Air of Canada.

Favourite charter was Wardair Canada, a very classy operation that went sched, was bought out by Canadian and absorbed.

                    Agreed, nationair SUCKED.

I thought Wardair was non-charter legacy? Well then if thats the case, move over TS.

They started out in the 1960s as a charter outfits, albeit a regularly scheduled one, then tried to take on CP and AC in the 1986-89 timeframe, and ran into problems before being bought out by Canadian Airlines in 1989 or 1990.

First class service on Doulton China at a charter price.

I like Champion Air because of the 727 they serve to STL. Always heard good things, dont know if its true.
