  • #1 US Airline

I know Delta is #3, so which is #1? USAirways, United, Continental, AA, Northwest ??

  • #2
You can knock US Airways out of that list...it hardly exists anymore lol.

Are you asking for our opinions on which we think is the best? From among those I'd say Continental is pretty good, followed by American. Northwest longhaul isn't bad either.
"The Director also sets the record straight on what would happen if oxygen masks were to drop from the ceiling: The passengers freak out with abandon, instead of continuing to chat amiably, as though lunch were being served, like they do on those in-flight safety videos."

I think in terms of passenger capacity it carries, American Airlines is for sure #1. United is very likely to be on #2, as you said Delta is on #3, and maybe NWA is on #4.

, and as far as most carried passengers domestically, it is Southwest Airlines.

see, it alldepends on what your asking, safety? size? food it serves?, planes? etc etc

A change from the usual yardsticks and a welcome one for its usefulness to the traveller. Btw, I am not surprised to see DL at # 12, they became so bad during the last 15 years on domestic sectors. Really nothing to see with DL of the early 80s, night and day

In addition to most domestic passengers I think Southwest also has the most (mainline) daily departures with now over 3,000! The opening of PIT brought WN to pass the 3,000 mark.

3000 flights / 428 planes = 7 legs per day per plane average.

If you havent flown midwest airlines signature service, you shouldnt even be saying which airline has the best service. cause its midwest without any competition

Aren't most of Midwests' flights now BOB? I guess they didn't fly many routes with each carrier, so they didn't see the premium service Midwest offers.

Let's reverse this: Have you ever flown JetBlue or Song? If not, should not be saying which airline has the best service .

While Song/Jetblue may offer amenities such as PTV's, Midwest seems to provide one of the largest seat pitches and food, on flights where they aren't low cost.
