  • AC Pilots threatening flight delays

Air Canada says a group of disgruntled pilots upset over seniority rankings are threatening to delay flights as a form of protest, according to reports.

Rob Reid, the airline's chief operating officer, wrote an internal letter to the company's 3,000 unionized pilots warning of job action by some of their colleagues, the Globe and Mail reported.

Reid said the pilots threatening action belong to the Original Air Canada group – pilots who were hired by Air Canada before the airline merged with Canadian Airlines International Ltd. in 2000. Many are angry that former Canadian Airlines pilots have moved ahead of them in seniority rankings.
