  • New US Airways livery now out (That is one UGLY new livery!)

What is with the US/HP merger livery? All they did was repaint the fuselage!

Don't like it...and still think HP is stupid for taking US over.

There are more visible changes than just repainting the fuselage.
-The HP-like waves are still at the back of the fuselage & on the tail.
-The winglets now have the US logo painted on them.
-The "US Airways" titles look a little different, IMO. Is that just me, or did they change them?
-The stripes at the bottom don't run the full-length of the fuselage, but curve off below the cockpit windows.

I like it. Not as good as the current scheme, but it still looks pretty nice.

      But the differences are subtle...

I dunno...dark blue and light grey definitely do NOT go together.

I'm gonna really miss the cactus livery.

That livery is so hot. Seriously a classy blend of the HP white fuselage and US's blue. Can't wait to see it in person. And I really want a model of it.

I must admit that I like it quite a lot too I think the blue and the grey go well together and I can't really find anything downright "ugly" about it- it's not as goot as the old one, no, but I think it's nice

I always liked U.SAirs dark colours. This looks pretty good too.

Here's the press release. Note the part about the heritage paint schemes that will be applied.

To me this livery is awful, its going to look horrible on anything longer then a 320.

Damn, not the one I wanted (out of all the rumours).

I like the current America West scheme better, but the new livery is no doubt (in my opinion) better then the dark, gloomy, depressing hearse-like livery currently on USAirways...All that black was always so depressing to look at...

at first it reminded me of the current USA 3000 livery...overall i think its pretty neat...cant wait to see it on the other aircraft as well

This is MUCH better than the dreary old dark blue scheme. The new belly markings are awfully similar in pattern to WN. They haven't done enough to distinguish themselves from other white-bodied liveries out there.

In other words they're going to leave some of the current aircraft unpainted in order to save money. In this case they should call it "heritage paint SCAMS."

I have to admit that I really like the current livery, but I think I really like this one!

The cheatlines on the fuselage strangely remind me of a long gone US charter airline, though I can't seem to remember the name. Anyway, I don't really like this new livery.
