  • USAirways New Paint Looks Like Leisure Air

    When I first saw a photo of the new USAirways, I actually thought it was just a Leisure Air plane that had been modified:
    Here's the Leisure Air scheme:
    Photo taken at Fort Lauderdale - Hollywood International (FLL / KFLL) in Florida, USA on December 11, 1993.

    The cheatline is similar, but the design and colors of the US livery have much more class.
    THE VOICE OF REASON HAS SPOKEN!
    Pop quiz: Which US president said, "Saddam Hussein has spent the better part of this decade, and much of his nation's wealth, not on providing for the Iraqi people, but on developing nuclear, chemical and biological weapons and the missiles to deliver them."
    George W. Bush is not correct. It was Bill Clinton in his 1998 State of the Union speech. HMMMMMMMMM.

      psa188. This is called "Jetphotos.net" and we use our photos. Not Awful.net's photos. Like this....

      [photoid=XXXXX what ever the photo ID is (its the last numbers in the URL) and then you close it off with a ] so it should look like....

      [photoid=83568]

      AHAHAHHAHAHA I just mashed my keyboard in with 5 nuymbers and got that. Ahaha.,

        And does jp.net have Leisure air photos to reference? No, we won't. Don't be rude.

          Instead of being an a-hole, why don't you link to a jp.net shot of Leisure Air? I couldn't find one but perhaps your powers are greater than mine.

            OK OK< stop this now. We have noted that he used an awful.net pic and we have noted that the guy that pointed it out could have been nicer. Its time to learn some lessons and move on, I think. In the future, check jp.net before going to the other guys. I am sure the original poster did just that. SO, just relax and don't be so cridical of everyone else.

            Now, to get back on topic, they are similar liveries.~

              The result is not too bad, the livery is somewhat brighter while avoiding the euro-whitening syndrome !!!

                I like the US one better. A side from a couple lines, there isn't a whole lot of similarity. Nothing that couldn't be ripped off from multiple other sources. Didn't South African have a similar cheat line in the 70's?

                  Not sure how SAA would remind someone of the new USAirways paint scheme.

                    I see none similarity with the new US livery and that linked SAA 747 SP, except from the red cheatline

                      Possibly earlier than that picture...It's a solid belly and a cheat line that slopes down under the nose..Similar to that one if the orange line sloped down to follow the silver... : other site : has pictures.

                      I'm pretty sure it's just a single line going down though.

                      This is the one I was thinking of, and ... it's not as close as I thought..Or anywhere near heh..

                      [photoid=263372]

                      I thought it was all blue under there...Will have to look around more.
