Continental to launch nonstop service to Copenhagen
Continental Airlines on Thursday announced plans to start daily nonstop flights between New York and Copenhagen, Denmark, starting on May 23, 2006, pending government approval.
Continental's New York/Newark-Copenhagen flights, which will depart from Newark Liberty International Airport, will be operated with a 172-seat Boeing 757-200 aircraft, carrying 16 passengers in the BusinessFirst cabin and 156 in economy.
Copenhagen will become the 27th city in Continental's trans-Atlantic route network, and its third destination in Scandinavia. The airline has served Oslo, Norway, since 2004 and started service to Stockholm, Sweden, in June 2005.
Whatever is necessary, is never unwise.
