I think CO must be VERY happy with the way the trans atlantic 757s are going. US should start this out of PHL to make some more money

Look like the rumors are true!

Continental to launch nonstop service to Copenhagen
Continental Airlines on Thursday announced plans to start daily nonstop flights between New York and Copenhagen, Denmark, starting on May 23, 2006, pending government approval.

Continental's New York/Newark-Copenhagen flights, which will depart from Newark Liberty International Airport, will be operated with a 172-seat Boeing 757-200 aircraft, carrying 16 passengers in the BusinessFirst cabin and 156 in economy.

Copenhagen will become the 27th city in Continental's trans-Atlantic route network, and its third destination in Scandinavia. The airline has served Oslo, Norway, since 2004 and started service to Stockholm, Sweden, in June 2005.

I just cant wait untill continental can get a hold of a 777-200GE lease or the 787's to arrive. Then we will see some more routes that are out of the range of the 757!

Guess again. It's been floating around the rumor mill.

As mentioned earlier, ThyssenKrupp, the Halliburton (except less corrupt) of Europe, has a lot of investment in that neck of the woods and has been looking for a subsidiary shopper for service for about a year and a half now. (similar to the Glaxo RDU-LGW deal with AA).

As for Liechtenstein, well, the closest airport there is Friedrichshafen in Germany. Hmm, EWR-FDH...
