We'll have to see whether this will gather any interest, though I am willing to bet that Qantas will be interested. There are definitely business men out there that would be willing to spend a bit more and fly SYD-LHR nonstop than via either DXB or SIN. Of course, that number is limited, so whether 300 seats would be filled is doubtful. Truth behold, I doubt any potential 772XR operator would want that seatnumber, rather 250, or perhaps even 200 only. With only light seating, a few amenities could be included to make the flight more interesting, aside from the "standard" IFE/lie-flat seats/personal cabins/internat access, like e.g a shower or a changing room. Never say never.

Now if only there was more that was willing to fly on such long legs, I can second Paul's reply, I too like connecting via 1 or 2 airports (spotting-wise)
Good assessment Mr. Voss
Like you said, if only BOEING - Partners can offer better enterainment or extra stuff (maybe also a small bar) to please the passengers, Guess its just about the matter of time, till we see those flying around the world.Inactive from May 1 2009.

Both of the 777-200LR flight test aircraft were parked side-by-side at BFI over the weekend. There was also an Air France 777-300ER, which (if I'm not mistaken) is the flying testbed for the "scalloped" engine cowling. They have been using it for noise testing before they deliver it to AF.

Pop quiz: Which US president said, "Saddam Hussein has spent the better part of this decade, and much of his nation's wealth, not on providing for the Iraqi people, but on developing nuclear, chemical and biological weapons and the missiles to deliver them."
George W. Bush is not correct. It was Bill Clinton in his 1998 State of the Union speech. HMMMMMMMMM.
