Is there any way to find out which runways are in use at a particular airport. What I'm basically asking is, I want to go spotting at Newark, but it's conditional on the fact that they are using 22R/L. Is there any way I can find out beforehand if those are the runways in use for that particular day?

Thanks guys...the ATIS tells me exactly what I need.

You can go to this website and see what runways they are using.I used it alot when i would go spotting at EWR. just zoom in and you can tell.Dylan
Hey Dylan, This is a nice link. I am wondering if the flight information (Aircraft type/Altitude) data is connected via the airport's system. ? I mean watching the movement, I can see the update as the plane is either climbing or descending .. Thanks for the link btw. Interesting !
How's the view if you are standing under the approach path at New jersey Tpke ??? is that right ?
Hey OY-KBN not only can you see aircraft type and altitude but sometime there is flight ID,origin, and destination but I have only seen that all a couple of times.I dont know why it is only sometimes all filled out. here is how it works http://www.passur.com/radar.htm .And these are more airports http://www.passur.com/sites.htm

I dont know what it looks like because of all the cops I only spotted in the ikea parking lot where i could hide between cars and even there i would get kicked out.

Many thanks for the info. 744. Yeah, thats why I mentioned the altitude and type, coz i have only seen once 1nce where the flight number box was filled. Btw the passur link. I learned something today thanks to you.
Stupid cops, kicking you out is one of the worst thing that could happen to a spotter, before getting arrested that is.
Is there any way I can get a list of all scheduled arrivals and departures at EWR today?
