According to finnish newspaper Iltasanomat, a Sud Caravelle has come up for sale at Kinshasa. No reg or serial number were given but this is a super Caravelle originally delivered to Finnair. Finnish aviation museum and many local enthusiasts have been very interested about it and are trying to get the plane back "home", alltough the condition and current owner of the plane are unknown.
This would be a second attempt to get a Caravelle to Finland. In the late 90's aviation museum tried to buy a former Air Toulouse plane but without success and those Caravelles are now scrapped.
If not the Finns then someone with little extra cash could save this plane if it can be saved.
