Firm customers as of today for the 777-200LR are EVA Air, PIA & Air Canada.

QR and AI are rumoured to be close to finalising their respecting deals too...

I would love to see Lufthansa or Scandinavian livery with the 777... Maybe someday?

maybe, but I don't think so. LUF has said that they won't buy any plane that doesn't have a sidestick from now on (basicly a commitment to Airbus)

You can add Air Canada to the 777LR list...

While that may be true for LH itself, it isn't the case for Lufthansa Cargo, which has long been rumored as a 772F customer, to both complement and sooner or later replace their MD-11s, especially on longer routes where the 772F could carry more freight than the MD-11s could.

IIRC, JetAirways is alson going to be a 777-200LR operator, but I am not sure if that will be through a leasing company or through them purchasing some aircraft. Their future fleet was discussed in months past and they also announced that they would add 777s and A330s to their fleet, as well as return the A343s.

Anyway, Boeing is also trying at market the 772LR to Qantas. There have also been some rumors that Air Sahara is also considering purchasing the type to begin international, long-haul expansion.
Whatever is necessary, is never unwise.

I thought EVA cancelled their 772LR order in favour of 777Fs?

I can almost certainly see SQ placing an order for 777-200LRs; with an eventual fleet of 77 777s, including the 77Ws on order, it just doesn't make sense for them to keep the A345s, let alone get more.
That RFP for 772LRs/A345s is probably just a ploy to get better prices for the Boeings.

                    What about this one?

But seriously, Isn't PIA supposed to be the launch customer for the type?

I remember LH used to ordered 767-400 and switch to A346?

                      What about TG?

Not officially yet. The announced a LOI or MOU for "at least 26 773ERs", with a few 772LRs headed. Now, while Airbus would call this a firm order, Boeing doesn't , as the contract is not officially signed yet (expected at the Dubai Air Show).

Yes indeed. Previously it used to be Eva.

No, at least not yet. The order is still for the pax version, however with the words coming from EVA, I would expect the order to be changed sooner than later and also increased at the same time.

LH never ordered the 764. Also, what does the 764 have to do with this discussion?

At Paris, Jet Airways announced they were buying 10 777s, including both the 773ER and 772LR. When they officially placed the order a few weeks back, it was for 10 773ERs. Don't know what happened to their plans for the 772LRs.
