In this case thought, an overweight aircraft could be disasterous(sp?). Boeing makreted the 787 for feul economy and to ahve this problem, which could affect the economic operations of the aircraft will be horrible for Boeing and the operators of the type.Whatever is necessary, is never unwise.Comment

This time, Boeing gets the credit of taking life by the horns by adressing the problems while the projects is still on the blue prints. Looks some smart people reminded everybody involved of the calculations mishaps associated to the 747 in 1966/69 not to mention Convair's misadventure with the 990 !!! In both cases for instance, the aircrafts just underperformed !!!
