  • Whatever became of N536JB

Aka "Canyon Blue", this was the Jet Blue A320 that had the landing gear problem (front gear turned 90 degrees sideways) and made a spectacular landing at LAX back in September. I never heard anything more about it after the incident was over. (Ironically, this came to mind while watching coverage of the WN incident at MDW last night, since in that incident, the front gear did collapse).

N536JB may still be worth fixing on the financial point of view.

The plane is already back in service, it was only about a week after the accident that the plane was flying again.

So I was misled by the spectacular side of the incident. I thought it could take at least a month as I was betting for some rebuilds of the inner nose section. Should they did that in a week, my congrats for their sheer efficiency.
