  • bmi to Get A330-300!

According to www.jethros.i12.com (an extremely reliable source) bmi are to lease an Airbus A330-303 from Qatar Airways.

The aircraft in question is A7-AEA and will be leased from 26-03-06 until 25-03-07.

This will not affect the Boeing 767-31AER (PH-MCV) which bmi are due to receive from Arkefly on lease from 21-04-06 until 01-04-07.

No idea, they must be either increasing frequencies or launching completely new routes, weren't they thinking about Toronto?

But with three new long haul aircraft on the way, the 763ER, A333 and A332, then they must be ready for some pretty fast expansion!

They already use an A332 on that, and even if they did put the A333 on BOM-LHR, what would they then use the free A332 on?

                From flybmi.com it states that:

"bmi will also commence a daily service to Doha from Heathrow in the Summer of 2006. The service will commence on 26 March and, subject to government approval, will be operated under a wet lease agreement with Qatar Airways. At the same time bmi's existing codeshare agrement with Qatar Airways will be expanded to allow bmi to sell Qatar Airways flights from Heathrow to Doha under bmi's flight code. This will further consolidate the presence of bmi at both Heathrow and in the Gulf region and mark another major step in the global reach of the airline."

Does this mean that QR will be joining star??

The 757 was doing the MAN- Washington service for this summer. The route was suspended at the end of october and the 757 went back to Icelandair

Either would be interesting as she is set to be around for just a year, therefore adding to the value of the picture ...

Theres nothing wrong with 757's. It's just the way BMI orperated the aircraft.
