  • 4 Killed in Cessna-560 Crash

CARLSBAD, Calif. - A corporate jet skidded off an airport runway and crashed Tuesday morning, bursting into flames, officials said. Four people were killed, the FAA confirmed.

The Cessna 560 twin-engine jet was coming in from Sun Valley, Idaho, the FAA reported.

The jet skidded off the west end of the runway of McClellan-Palomar Airport at around 6:40 a.m., Bill Polick, spokesman for the San Diego County Department of Public Works, said. Television footage showed flames billowing from the aircraft, which appeared to have hit a building.

Soon we'll have members claiming that it never really hit the building, it was a government sponsored hoax.

    Any ideas on weather/runway conditions?

That's very unusual as the weather looked pretty good. I guess this is a mechanical thing or pilot error.

THE VOICE OF REASON HAS SPOKEN!
Pop quiz: Which US president said, "Saddam Hussein has spent the better part of this decade, and much of his nation's wealth, not on providing for the Iraqi people, but on developing nuclear, chemical and biological weapons and the missiles to deliver them."
George W. Bush is not correct. It was Bill Clinton in his 1998 State of the Union speech. HMMMMMMMMM.
