  • Best Ff Program???

    Hi,

Can Anyone Tell Me What They Think Is The Best Ff Program Around Is, In Terms Of Collecting Points, Rewards And Elite Status?

I Know People Say Stick With Your National Airline But British Airways Dont' Really Give Much Considering How Much It Takes To Get Gold Status.

    Thanks For Your Replies.

I think that here in the US Southwest has the best program. In order to get one free round trip all you need to do is fly 6 domestic round trips........
O'Hare - The Aviation God's greatest creation, or their greatest mistake? you be the judge!

CO is my favorite, plus the just recently lowered the amount of miles required to 20,000 to fly a domestic under 1,500 miles

Its hard really to say whats the best since we have no general idea of where your located.

Id say the Aeroplan Program has to be one of the best if not the best. You get to fly with all the Star Alliance members, or join a flyer program with one of the Star Alliance members, you cant beat it. It has to be the best.

It is 8 round trip in 2 years, and if you are a college student you get 4 pts per r/t so you only have to fly 4 times round trip before getting a free ticket.

You state your with BA so im guessing your in the UK, Where are the locations you travel to the most? I would base a FFP based on your location and the most traveled destination. Find the airlines that cover the area, see if you can find airlines that offer miles on each other.

I should read more ahaha. Like I said with Star Alliance, it has one of the best FF programs going. Since you said something about BA, makes me think your in the area. BMI is a Star Alliance member, visit this website and visit BMI's FF program.

In terms of award availability, mileage requirements/value, network, and carriers, Star Alliance blows the other major alliances out of the water (and I'm saying this as a Delta Platinum member).

I just booked a round-trip LAS-LAX-SYD trip in United First (meaning that I'll have a full bed) for 120,000 miles. This ticket prices out to US$14,900 for the dates I'm travelling, which is incredible value per mile. The same trip on Skyteam would've cost 160,000 miles for business or 280,000 miles for first, and that would have been on Korean Air with an inconvenient connection in Seoul.

I haven't found a better value than Star Alliance business class saver awards (ex-USA) for 80k to Europe, and 90k to Asia/Australia.
