FORT WORTH, Texas, July 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AMR Corporation AMR, the parent company of American Airlines, Inc., today reported a net profit of $291 million for the second quarter of 2006, or $1.14 per share fully diluted, compared to a profit of $58 million or $0.30 per share fully diluted, in the second quarter of 2005.
