Movie based on WWI pilots. Looks pretty cool to me. It's done by the guy who did Independence Day and The Patriot. I may go see it this weekend while my wife's gone.
I wanna see it as well. I read a neat article on the guy that built the replicas of the aircraft for the movie in a magazine put out by EAA. I forget who they interviewed, but it was somebody pretty well known and he said "this is the best aviation movie I've seen in a while"...though that doesn't say much cause to be honest, most of them kinda suck.

Yes, I agree. Every movie about aviation is usually the same old thing, over and over again, and doesn't really focus on the planes. If you ask me, United 93 was by far my favorite aviation movie. It was so detailed and accurate, I was very impressed.
I can't wait to see this one. Here is the trailer:
I just hope it is on par or better than Snakes on a Plane as far as aviation realism is concerned!
THE VOICE OF REASON HAS SPOKEN!
Pop quiz: Which US president said, "Saddam Hussein has spent the better part of this decade, and much of his nation's wealth, not on providing for the Iraqi people, but on developing nuclear, chemical and biological weapons and the missiles to deliver them."
George W. Bush is not correct. It was Bill Clinton in his 1998 State of the Union speech. HMMMMMMMMM.
First movie on WWI flyers since ages, looks worth viewing. Interesting cast staffed by newbies and backed by veteran Jean Réno.I am waiting with some anticipated interest.

honestly, did you expect any kind of realism in snakes on a plane? I mean...I didn't see it, but I wouldn't have been surprised if a 747 did barrel rolls to get rid of the snakes. I don't think they were going for realism in that movie.

at least, by the advertising.
you really have no idea what you're talking about do you....
I saw it yesterday, great movie! I think anyone with an interest in aviation should go see it. The movie really captures the skill it took to surrvive a dog fight in WWI. It also captures the thrill of flying that has these men willing to risk their lives for a forgien country just to get the chance to learn to fly.
A whole bunch of people up here went and saw it and they said that it wasn't good at all that it had way too many corny parts.
That's because most people up here are like "OMG new 757 with winglets and a sticker...grab me the lotion and some tissues". They dont like flying, they like airplanes.
