  • A 6-Leg Flight!

I was just browsing Southwest's schedule for a project and found a 6-leg flight:

    PVD-PHL-PIT-MDW-ABQ-SAN-SJC

Looks like Alex's idea of a fun day!

Is that an actual scheduled bookable flight? Or just scheduled, but people like us can ride fourth on?

    *getting ideas now...*

OK, it turns out that ABQ is not a regularly scheduled stop. It happened to stop there on the day I was viewing the data for. But still... 5 legs ain't bad! Southwest offers 63 5-leg flights from which to choose!

Well, that's Chasen's influence on me...Jordan's involves a goat, an 80-year-old german milkmade, and various lengths of wire...it's a sad reality

                  WOW, thats still quite awesome!

The most flights legs I have flown in one day was.

                  JAX-PHL-BNA-MSY-HOU.

I think 4 in one day.

because most of my flight legs are usually 4..

                  STL-HOU-FLL-JAX was 3..

                  PHX-SAN-MCI-STL also 3...

ahhh the ways you have to fly to get home or to get where your going....

As for the price, it will not book me to SJC, Only to SAN, the most WN offers is 3 stops so it seems to be.

That is 99 one way base fare one month in advanced, and its a -700. Hmmh, I should give that flight number or routing a go later in the future!

                  Paul-- Wanna come with?

I did YHZ - YYT - YDF - YYR - YWK in one day once.

(Airports are Halifax, Nova Scotia, St. John's, Newfoundland, Deer Lake, Newfoundland, Goose Bay, Labrador and Wabush, Labrador.)

Well, back in the 80's, Delta used to have some regular 8-segment flights , routing something like Northeast-ATL-4 Southern stops-West Coast. Gotta search the timetables when I'm home.

You guys are nuts, if I am stuck on a flight that isn't non-stop, I am hating life.

Air Canada at one time had a daily YUL-Montreal, YOW-Ottawa, YYB-North Bay, YSB-Sudbury, YAM-Sault Ste Marie, YQT-Thunder Bay, YWG Winnipeg flit. It was a DC9. When it got to YWG it turned around and went back.

Outbound was AC165 and back was AC166.

Not yet an 8-segment flight, but at least a few 6-segment ones for starters, from November 82:
                              DL flight 510 aboard a 727, ORD-DFW-SHV-MLU-JAN-ATL-PHL
                              DL flight 1763, 727, DTW-TOL-CVG-MEM-SHV-MSY-MCO
And since it already was such a fun flight, in December that year, flt 510 was extended by another station, now going ORD-DFW-SHV-MLU-JAN-ATL-PHL-BOS. That flight left ORD at 4pm, and arrived at BOS at 3:30am - Soo sad that that flight doesn't operate anymore .
