Is it possible he rotated early? A Cessna could probably climb faster.

Makes the 340 look like a race car! Man that is slow!

I dont think the aircraft would have any problem if the PIC pulled on the yoke for steeper climb. I thought the PIC did that in purpose.

This is really normal. Here in Innsbruck they are climbing like that too, so no problem

I was just going to ask if it was normal for that to happen. But, for the most part at other airports, the idea is that during takeoff maximize the climbout so that you spend less time getting to oyur desired altitude. From this video he looks as if he has no desire to climb at all. Is this typical of the aircraft? I mean, is it normal for YAK 42Ds to have horrible climb rates? Or was it just the pilot?
Whatever is necessary, is never unwise.

Hmm i wouldn't say horrible climb rates, but I think that the climb rate is something like "Coziness"

I like the climb outs of the beautiful Yak, specially here between the Alps

Some ideas assuming the aircraft was heading back to Ukraine, straight ....
LIS-KBP for one is 1,825 nm long
We surely are pretty close to the Yak 42 max range in ferry flight
Charlie-Foxtrott-Alpha had probably max fuel on board
We all know, fuel is what weights more
