How many daily flights from AMS to PIT are there? If there isn't a large need for transportation btwn the two cities then it won't happen.

And add to the fact that PIT is well connected to other hubs, (PHL, JFK, EWR, YYZ, and the like...) predetermines it to have no direct need for certain flights, and it sucks. While PIT may have no service to AMS, all of the other cities do, and with direct flights connecting PIT to those cities, there is no need for PIT to have the service and splinter it.
