Jax Airport

Will there be any expansion at jax? New service, international service maybe? I also notice that united has put 737-300's and-500's on our jax-ord route. Will we get upgraded on any other routes, like jax-dfw on american? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

New terminals, are under construction.

Delta had a route JAX-LAX earlier this year but i guess no biz so they stopped it.

What ever happened to midwest airlines coming in? Did they give up or are they waiting for the new concourses to open? Is american going to put any other aicracft on the dallas routes, or put mainline on the jax-ord route? Is there a lot of potential in jax? For example, jax-lax was near or always sold out so why did they cancel it, or could they start jax-slc?

If the seats were full the flight would still be there haha.

On JIA site it says that route has stopped but no reason why.

Thats true, i guess I just did not want it to end, considering we are not that big on the west coast at all.Whay is it still flying then or is that just for people who had bought tickets prior to it ending?

As long as we get ATL, LGA/EWR, DFW, and CLT service, that's all I need. We have crappy directs, and if you can get to to those cities, you can get anywhere you want anyways.
And honestly, from both a spotter's and (less so) a traveller's viewpoint...JAX sucks. There are not really any good places from which to spot, sans an ops escort, but I will give them that travelling has become more enjoyable in recent years.

I agree it is closed up with no way for spotting.

There is a program which goes on twice a year called Young Aviator Association which takes High School students to Jia, Craig, Herlog, and Cecik for a tour twice every other week. And it is free if you are interested tell me i can tell you when the next one is.

You go out on runways and tarmacs and we can take great pics.
