  • WN 7-Stop Flights

It has come to my attention that there are (at least) 3 7-stop flights in the Southwest system.

    Flight 33: FLL-JAX-IND-MDW-MCI-DAL-HOU-HRL

    Flight 224: PDX-SLC-DEN-MDW-BNA-MSY-HOU-AUS

    Flight 3241: MHT-MDW-STL-LIT-DAL-AUS-HOU-MSY

Wow if one of these began in DAL I might be tempted to hop on just for the fun of it.

Flight 71 during the winter seemed to be a doozy, not 7 stops but enough for me to want to ride 4th on!

        Want to!!

I think I would have killed myself riding 4th on it, it was a 737-300 too

It normally seemed to be a PHX or LAS crew working the flight when I saw them getting off in STL.

Sounds like a great way to see the country.

Any idea how much a ticket costs?

                Unfortunatly they are not bookable.

SWA only sells up to a maximum 3 stops, no change, or 3 stops one change.

You will never, ever change aircrafts more then once on WN, which is nice.

I suppose, since WN is all 737s anyway. When there is a varity, I love switching aircraft. I almost booked a 2 stop SFO-MSP trip on YX which would have put me on an MD83, CRJ-200, then 712. I love that sort of thing.

That's because they won't sell you a ticket that requires more changes, even though it is technically possible.

Yes, thats the point I am getting, because WN won't sell you the ticket for it, you will never have to worry about it.

Only way to double connect would be to purchase a second ticket as a tag on to another leg requiring a connection.

Somewhat sad that WN is the only one to offer such multi-stop flight these days, Delta used to offer a few of those flights as well back in the 80's. Those I could find in a December 82 timetable:
                        DL510, 727, ORD-DFW-SHV-MLU-JAN-ATL-PHL-BOS
                        DL562, 727, OKC-DFW-SHV-ATL-RDU-LGA-PWM-BGR
Now DL510 sure would've made for a nice mileage run .
