Well MSP-MDW failed horribly for FL, so we will see what happens. Here are a few other things to keep in mind IMO.
This isn't shocking now that DL is taking over. WN is just going in to kill Sun Country and now that Delta is taking over the weaker management will allow such a thing to happen.
Well Minnesotan's have always been very loyal to Minnesotan brands, so here are two things. Sure a lot of MN's say they want Southwest to go to MSP, but not so they can fly on WN, so that the already pretty decent fares at MSP go down even further. They will still likely go for the NW flights since all of them have FF miles and more, and they are still brand loyal. However, now that it might become Delta and no longer a MN company. This may change, not just for the fact that its no longer a MN company, but also because Delta's management and Delta is general is weaker against LCC's. Not many LCC's if any have great success in NW dominated cities, MSP, DTW, MEM, IND just to name a few.

Well.. NW has a lot more money than F9 does. Also, WN has not had great success in markets where NW has a large presense, I would have thought that they would have gone after MEM first before MSP. Remember by March its going to be Delta which offers a hell of a lot more than WN does. Also, its such a short flight that WN won't offer anything more than what NW does.

Oh ya WN will, 1 or 2 rounds of peanuts, free, 1 or 2 rounds of drink service, also free, and 2 bags to check for free! Thats enough right there.
NW offers only drink service for free...

As for service, now that it will be Delta, you will get drinks, and a choice of snacks...
