With the recent releases of the 787 and 747-800 I have noticed that both Boeing aircraft do not have the current traditional vertical wing tips like on most modern aircraft.
Does anyone know why this would be? Obviously it is to do with fuel effciency, but I thought it quite interesting considering most new aircraft do have the vertical types and even some airlines are altering their existing aircraft to include them.
Have Boeing found something that the likes of Airbus have missed??
Cheers
