  • CRJ vs. E-Jet

    1) Which Regional Jet is the most popular/best selling and why: CRJ or E-Jet's?
    2) What makes one RJ more attractive than another?
    3) Could a CRJ theoretically land at EGLC? If so, why havn't airlines ordered it?

As an answer to question 2, the newer generation ERJ's (i.e. 170 & 190 series) are far more attractive because they have more spacious cabins. They have a little bit more hieght and a little bit more width than the CRJ's. Also, the overhead bins are quite a bit larger so that you can easily fit rollaboards in them.

By "E-Jets", what do we mean ? The ERJ-135/140/145 series or the E-170/190 series ? It makes a big difference.

Depends on your definitions. Is "CRJ" just the CRJ-100/200, or the entire family up to the CRJ-1000? Do you mean just the ERJ-135/140/145 with "E-Jets", or do you also include the EMB-170 to -195?

Only if licensed for the LCY-specific approach, which it isn't.

Because airlines have better planes for that airport, and airlines rarely ever buy planes for just one airport.
