Just found out that ROBERT Serling (brother of "Twilight Zone" writer ROD Serling) passed away last month in TUS.
Next to Ernie Gann, he was my favorite aviation writer. He authored the written histories Of Western, Eastern, American, TWA, and just last year, Alaska Airlines. Wrote about Bill Lear and the history of his LearJet, and another dozen non-fiction aerial classics as well.
Wrote lots of great aviation fiction too.
TOTAL bummer. A true loss for aviation readers everywhere.
