Alaska Airlines flights are scheduled to depart from San Diego daily at 9:20 a.m. and arrive in Maui at 12:10 p.m., according to the Seattle-based airline. Flights from Maui are scheduled to depart at 1:10 p.m. daily and arrive in San Diego at 9:35 p.m. The Alaska Airlines flights will be on Boeing 737 aircraft. Additionally, seasonal nonstop flights between San Diego and Puerto Vallarta are scheduled to begin Nov. 12.
Alaska Airlines announced this week it has launched daily service between Seattle and St. Louis. According to a press release, the airline is offering a promotion of a $106 one-way fare on select flights purchased between Oct. 2 and Oct. 17 on the new route.
It's great to see that somone is expanding and doing it smartly. Considering that they codeshare with everyone, it's good to see that they are expanding on their own metal.

SAN-OGG is a hell of a push on a 737 (from a passenger's perspective) but not from an operational standpoint, right?
Whatever is necessary, is never unwise.

SAN-OGG is already in place and is Block to Block at 5H50. Westjet operates a B737-800 from YVR to HNL (6H07 B/B) and OGG (6H03 B/B).

I've heard that Westjet is weight restricted some days due to winds etc and has operated via SFO for a tech stop.
Flying is the second greatest thrill known to man. Landing is first.
