I hope they didn't buy it to strip and scrap.

Does somebody remember who opened this topic? Was it you? It definitely was not me. So, probably we should be thankful for this topic: Airlines who still operate the 747.

In June 2018, I was able to find this "new livery" for Randazzos B747-400 fsx simulator. Both we know, it is not so so very new, but .. is it so important which livery is used on this bird? I can say, hm, since I am here there has been 1 experiment for LH 747s..

But there are graphic designers who are sucessful, besides my avatar. This is what I mean, the "KL wave" on your PH-BFT :
The KL-B744 in its sheer beauty ("KL wave"), 2018.

PS: I like liveries which are as old as me. Or how old is the KLM blue? Not much younger than me, afaik. If not older than me.

I somehow feel Air India will also be phasing out the Boeing 747-400 soon. Mostly by 2020, they will be replacing the same with something new (though leased).

UPS Signs $5.65 Billion Order For 14 747 Cargo Jets.
Bloomberg News (2/1) reports that The Boeing Company won a “$5.65 billion lifeline for the endangered” 747 jumbo jet as UPS has decided to exercise an option to purchase 14 additional aircraft. The deal comes just “weeks after Delta Air Lines Inc. parked the last of its 747 aircraft, marking the end of U.S. passenger service for the iconic humpbacked plane nicknamed the Queen of the Skies.” UPS also will order four Boeing 767 freighters as it “rushes to keep up with growing demand and parlays gains from the recent US corporate tax cut into stepped-up investment.” UPS CEO David Abney said that the tax reforms “made us more optimistic that the economy was going to continue to be clicking,” and spurred the company to exercise its option. The 747 order means that Boeing now will continue production of the 747 “into the 2020s.”

Not passenger aircraft but this news would allow airlines to order them.
    Hi again, to the High(air)port.

Oh yes. LUNN sometimes said "Bah, what are U lookin for here in my beautiful topic. I only mention airlines who do no longer fly the B747." Ok.

But since we all are "Seniors", what does he want to do, against the two of us?

There is only 1 domestic a/c type, who brings all the Olympic Heroes back home.. Let's have a look at my avatar...

PS: Imho, President Obama made it possible for LH to buy 19 (nineteen) Boeing 747-800 passenger jets,
without that German products (e.g. cars?) in the USA only can be delivered with more expense.

So, will the next German Boeing order only happen when the next US foreign ministry will be kind again towards companies from overseas?

You should not ask me if you want an objective opinion, as since I am here (?!), I am an Obama fan.
