de santis is right. i spent roughly 30 hours on qatar airways last month and had my mask on approximately one hour in total. same as just about every other person on board that i could see. no yelling asswipe, ancient fa's threatening to have us all arrested. no fines. no fights. yeah, they gave lip service to the requirement but that was it. i spent about 20 hours on various domestic aa flights last month, and because i had a drink or food in front of me just about the entire time in the air, i was never once asked to put my mask on.
face it man, the shit is just about over. it's time to start living WITH not hiding FROM.
ps, i believe every airline should have the right to require masks. then the traveling public could vote with their wallets. if delta had no mask requirement, i'd leave aa in .5 second flat (after 30 years and 1.75 million flown miles) and book on delta.Comment

Again, SENSIBLE: listen to the epidemiologists. The CDC is a broken part of our broken and corrupt government. Epidemiologists are not. And every one I've listened to has said this thing is not over and not still very well understood. Particularly the long-term effects that seem to be affecting about 20-30% of those infected, including those who had only mild cases, recovered and then fell ill again three months later. the world according to evan. of course these past two years didnt affect me at all. i wasn't stranded away from my family for 6 months. i haven't lost any business. i have not had to spend insane amounts of money on everything. cuz, you know, i'm special and the world revolves around me. oh and i havent had to wear a mask and spend 1000's of dollars on testing, doctors and meds for my family when they were gravely ill etc etc etc.
only evan has had his life changed and actually enjoys being told what to do by obscure epidemiologists who, of course, have only the world's best interests in mind when they say we should still be in lockdown and wearing masks 24/7 365 no matter where we are. let's ground all the airlines and prohibit flying altogether. that will surely get rid of air rage and people assaulting fa's--the single most important group of people to have ever lived!

having spent 5.5 months confined to a wheel chair i can say that i didnt care at all if people cut in front of me if i was slowing them down. i did my best to stay out of people's way. I also traveled with my own wheelchair, rolled myself around the airport, refused to board first, and carried crutches with me to use to get on and off the plane.Originally posted by Evan View Post
