i love how you morphed your babbling from "it's gonna kill us all" to "it's gonna kill people with pre-existing conditions" to now, the "long covid syndrome" which is what, exactly? is it deadly? does it incapacitate people? does it cause birth defects? what does it do? the list published by the cdc contains a slew of symptoms that can be attributed to 900 other diseases, including depression and anxiety. ya think maybe some folks that have had covid also suffer from depression and anxiety? ya think maybe some of those numbers were caused by the pandemic itself (not the disease)? hmmm, i wonder...... (think confirmation bias)

    wait! read this:

People experiencing any severe illness may develop health problems

People experiencing any severe illness, hospitalization, or treatment may develop problems such as post-intensive care syndrome, or PICS.

PICS refers to the health effects that may begin when a person is in an intensive care unit (ICU), and which may persist after a person returns home. These effects can include muscle weakness, problems with thinking and judgment, and symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). PTSDexternal icon involves long-term reactions to a very stressful event. For people who experience PICS following a COVID-19 diagnosis, it is difficult to determine whether these health problems are caused by a severe illness, the virus itself, or a combination of both. next comes, "we still don't know, so let's go back into lock-down, cancel all public events and travel, and mandatory masks everywhere on planet earth." because, you know, SCIENCE (TM)...

how about you admit you posted outdated stuff and apologize?

Everything that I posted there is 100% up-to-date.

the "long covid syndrome" which is what, exactly?
      There are three prevailing theories:

      - The Covid-19 virus re-activates another dormant virus that some people acquired earlier in life, such as Epstein Barr, which is no joke.
      - The Covid-19 virus creates a delayed auto-immune response in some people that brings on inflammation and other issues.
      - Some of the Covid-19 virus remains in the body hidden from the immune system and reactivates, somewhat like a retrovirus.

In any event, with millions of cases studied, there is little doubt amongst medical researchers that it is a real consequence of Covid infection. And, yes, they know everything that you do.

next comes, "we still don't know, so let's go back into lock-down, cancel all public events and travel, and mandatory masks everywhere on planet earth."
See, this is why people don't like lawyers: the absurd histrionic counter-argument launched at any rational proposition. It's more of a theatre profession, isn' t it...

If wisdom prevails, next comes mandatory masks in the obvious crowded places for a little while longer. But that doesn't seem so outrageous, does it...

histrionic counter-argument????? you're hopeless. thank F*&k the people "in-charge" are smarter and more reasonable than you are.

funny how you completely ignore the FACT that the same symptoms being attributed to covid have been attributed to other diseases for an eternity. of course you would ignore that cuz it doesn't fit with you own ideas on how the remaining 3330,000,000 americans should lead their lives.

hey, i got an idea, why don't you and boeing bobby, move in together?

as i've said before, america's doors swing both ways. feel free to swing them out as you leave.

If you’re lucky! Most people regain taste within a month. Many experience altered, rancid taste and smell. I have a friend who lost taste and smell for months. I don’t know if it came back yet. It can even be permanent and there is no established treatment. But your FREEDOMS (tm)!!

                Indeed.

And you have the freedom to live in a bubble and not ride bicycles.

As to your doomsday taste, you seem to forget that most living people have had CoVid. Kind of like getting the flu, which 1) I do most years and 2) Which kills quite a few people with underlying health issues.

We are sorry about your uncle. But I’ve lost 1 grade school friend to horse riding, one to breast cancer, two cousins to car accidents, and yeah, one friend threw a blood clot while recovering from CoVid. A 150 I once flew crashed from an engine failure a few months after we made a precautionary landing due to an engine hiccup.

There is indeed, much for you to regulate.

                • In the meantime, while a couple of you deniers toss your bull s**t back and forth, I got in my J-3 yesterday morning and flew in the beautiful South Florida weather for an hour. Oh, is this site supposed to be about airplanes?

There is currently no mask requirement on the J-3.

Being that 99% of the time I am by myself, absolutely. Also have very good ventilation with the door and window open.

                        Are the valves doing OK?

                          • Stuck exhaust valves seem to be an occasional problem with airplane engines.

Top overhauled the 65 Continental about 2 years ago. Maybe have 100 hours since then.

Then cite one, please, with a link to the actual study, not a recap of a study from almost a year ago. Thanks in advance. That's how one argues Science rather than Science(TM).
