  • Dogs on a plane

An Ameriflight Swearingen SA-227 with 3 crew and 53 passenger dogs on board attempting to land at Waukesha,WI opted instead for a long drive to the third hole at the Western Lakes Golf Club. The dogs were successfully evacuated with none of them bringing their personal belongings. Good dogs! The dogs are said to have not sustained serious injury but many will probably require an additional emotional support dog to fly with them in the future. There is an unsubstantiated *speculation* that the crew declared emergency and when the tower requested souls-on-board, a Cartesianist philosophical argument ensued in the cockpit, distracting from the task of flying. If so, it will be the pilots in the dog house now.

Evidence collected on-scene contradicts that piece of fake news.
Rather contradictory to what you said, it seems that most if not all dogs brought their personal belongings through evacuation.

Ah, but obviously these ones had upgraded to lay-flat beds so they get to do that. Close brush with fate for dog '300' there...
