It seems the growing trend of passengers putting Airtags in checked baggage has revealed another case of United Airlines providing materially incorrect information about a passenger's bag. Instead of being "safe at the distribution center" as claimed, it actually spent a couple of days traveling around Washington DC, enjoying a meal out in McDonalds, a trip to a suburban shopping center, and a couple of nights at a local apartment complex.
If these stories keep coming, I think we're going to find passengers routinely placing Airtags in checked bags!
