    Not sure if you are familiar with the Cessna 402 but taxiing up behind the #3 engine of the DC-10 I was looking straight into the tailpipe so the exhaust was going straight down the fuselage to the tail and I could see the wings were blown free. Worked for me otherwise it was taxi back and start over.

      I am not very familiar with the Cessna 402, but I suspect that your view for the horizontal and vertical tail was not the best.
