Well. I was here in this forum when Jet Aviation engineer Joe Sutter died, and without him I'd probably never become a jetphotos member, at least not with this nickname.
Joe Sutter (March 21st 1921 - August 30th 2016), from Seattle WA, better known as the man who invented the Boeing type 747 in 1965 . 95 years old and probably still full of ideas
when he closed his eyes for the very last time with a smile. I assume that it happened with a smile, because he smiled on alot of photos.

But you don't have to call me the jetphotos gravedigger, only because I like to honor old dead men, most of them the generation father of my father.

William Anders, born 1933 in Hong Kong, was an astronaut and a USAF two star General and pilot, who obviously died in an aviation crash, when he flew his own Beech T-34 Mentor,
which is a single engined two seated military propeller, first flight December 1948 .

General W. Anders died June 7th 2024 at the age of 90 on board his own Beech T-34 Mentor.
The German long haul is alive since 1955, 69 years and still kicking.
The Gold Member in the 747 club, 50 years since the first LH 747.
And constantly advanced, 744 and 748 /w upper and lower EICAS.
