    Tire blowouts are hardly a gear failure.

    That's like having a flat tire in your car and saying the wheel fell off.

          Looks like a -500?

          Even so 4 tires is a lot to have blown out, considering for a 737 thats only 6 wheels, and having 4 of them, which means all the main gears were out leaving only the nose wheel intact.
