  • Twin Otter collides with condo in Yellowknife

    A Twin Otter float plane crashed into a condominium in Yellowknife, killing at least two people and injuring seven.


    It is not yet clear if the victims were in the plane, or on the ground.


    A Twin Otter float plane that clipped a condominium then crashed onto a Yellowknife street left two dead and seven injured.

    Any information and potentially big contributing factors emerging? A twin Oetter crashed a few years back after an engine failure on TO, I wonder if it's a bit more nasty than other twins when on one engine.

          3WE yeah, that is a good one! Do those heavy floats drop the CG so the roll tendency is damped a bit?

            At the time of the posting, the TC website appeared to be down, but here's the CADORS report for further information.
