Aeropostal DC-9 hard landing, broke airplane!

A venezuelan DC-9-50 operated by Aeropostal, had a hard landing in Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela, the pilot touched down so hard he broke the airplane....no injuries or fatalities.

This DC-9-51 was originally delivered to Finnair 35 years ago. I remember that a DC-9-41 of SAS had some kind of similar damage in 1987 and the aircraft was written off.

Must have been a really hard landing... uh, i remember we touched down pretty hard in casablanca on b737. felt a bit scary
