  • A400M military transport crash during test flight near Sevilla, Spain

To the moderators : Not sure if it should be mentionned here of in the military/space forum. The A400M being EASA-certified according to commercial standards, I guess it has its place within commercial aviation, even if operated by Air Forces.

An A400M performing test (or acceptance) flight from Sevilla, Spain where Airbus Military final assembly line is located, crashed one mile from the airport. While it seems that it was this aircraft first flight, it is yet unreported at what stage of the flight the crash occured.

According to Spain's PM, there were 8 souls on board, on which 3 reported dead and 2 severely injured. Further reports indicates 6 on board, all spanish citizens and Airbus employees, 4 dead, 2 injured.

The aircraft lost today was MSN#23, scheduled to be delivered to Turkish Air Force

It is the first A400M to crash. A400M first flew in 2009 and entered service with French Air Force in 2013.
