    Riotair flight FR-7384 report is in. Right nose gear wheel 'deplaned' on takeoff because....

    ..heat-induced cracking in the base metal that probably grew by hydrogen embrittlement cracking during the cadmium plating process, prior to the stress relief bake.
    Now, nobody should have to sit on a plane, worrying about what might have gone wrong prior to the stress relief bake. But there you have it. It's an inherent risk. It's baked in.

    It might come as some consolation however to know that the problem would have been detected if "a Barkhausen inspection had been carried out".

    I think they're just making this stuff up now.

    The problem was they carried out a Meowhausen inspection instead.

      They say if you forget to do the Barkhausen inspection you might find yourself in the dog house.
