  • Near Total Disaster- Flying in Typhoon

Parlour assessment: Fake news, but entertaining none-the-less. Outstanding flying- I am sure the QRH was consulted and procedures were followed- No reckless cowboy idiocy improvisation here.

Then again, it IS an Air Bus...maybe the pilots were asking, "What's it doing now?"

This is obviously an A320 flying in degraded, alternate reality law. There is no procedure for this.

And yet the plane did not crash!

Thank goodness for Genius airmanship (commonly called Cowboy Improvisational Idiocy).

Nevertheless, can you be completely sure that the pilots were not sitting there typing data into the FMS with no hands on any actual controls?

Fundamental rule: If 3BS says something crazy, it might be sarcasm. You cannot always count on blue font.

You should always trust the FMA to understand "what is it doing now"

(FMA: Funny Mood Annunciator, not to be confused with the Flight Mode Annunciator that tells you... welll, what it is doing now)
