    OVERALL EXPERIENCE: 3.5/5

I arrived at tge airport at 6:00 AM for my 7:15 departure, which meant I left my house at around 5:45. When I got to the airport, I found a parking spot right up by the terminal and went inside. The ACY terminal is always busy at this hour in the morning, as most people chose to take early flights out to get to their destinations early. The check-in line was pretty fast, and I was up to security by around 6:20. Security was pretty fast as well, and I was in the secure area ready for my flight at 6:30 (it was boarding at 6:45). Walking around the terminal quickly, I saw the flight to DEN pushing back late, as well as the 7:00 MCO flight and the 7:05 PBI flight, but I missed the DL FRJ i wanted to see at 6. I used the bathroom and watched the MCO flight board, and then heard the final boarding call for my flight. I got on and took my seat. The flight was pretty full, problably about 85-90%, but there was nobody sitting next to me (I was two rows up from the exit row, and had both seats in my row to myself). We pushed back at 7:30, as there was a missing passenger who turned out to be "stuck" in the bathroom, who made us 30 minutes late. After pushback, I saw the 7:05 to PBI liftoff, and then we had a quick safety briefing. Alot of people on the flight were set to go on to CUN, which was via a connecting flight at FLL. About 10 minutes later, we tookof later than scheduled behind a US B1900 to BWI, which I always see at ACY, but that service was discontinued last year.

The flight itself was not too bad. I got a full can of soda (yes, it's a big deal to me!), and the FA's were your average boring, personality-less, professional, and average looking FA's you see on the majority of mainline flights. The captian, who sounded very cheery, came on to tell us that we had made up time in the air and were descending early! The FA's came around once more to collect the garbage and we made a bit of a high approach into FLL, but we made it nonetheless. At FLL, I saw a SEAL DC9 at a gate, and remembered the times that Spirit would fly 3 DC9's on the ACY-FLL route, instead of the MD80's.

At FLL, I had no checked bags, so I made it out of the terminal in about 15 minutes, and went to the FLL Tri-Rail station, where my train came about 15 minutes later.

The flight was an average flight that you'd find out most airlines, and everything went pretty smoothly, so that gets good points. There was nothing exceptional about this flight, however, so overall, I give Spirit a 3.5/5 for this flight.

I could see an STL-ACY flight filling up no problem once Spirit gets their A320's.

As far as snacks, it is sparatic. On longer flights (i.e. ACY-DEN) you will almost always get a snack. As far as Florida flights are concerned (i.e. ACY-FLL), I think it depends on the FA.

They give chocolate milk and I think hot chocolate, but again it depends on the availability and the flight. Where you flyin to?

Haha, I know it sounds confusing...

after they dropped the BWI hub a few years back, they dropped the B1900 flight ACY-BWI, but I still see the plane there every so often anyway, which leads me to believe there is some kind of a scheduled charter or business flight or something... still can't figure it out, though.

                      Oh...
Prolly a business charter or a casino charter.

Was the plane at a gate at the terminal?

As far as I know, it sits on the ramp across from the terminal, on the other side of the tarmac. I think it might be used for a business which sends their employees on business trips on WN via BWI.

There is a snack pack available for purchase in coach for $4...they are available on ALL flights. This was started about a year ago.

in the morning its got apple sause, ritz bitz cheeze crackers, strawberry nutri-grain(I know I spelled that wrong) bar, crackers and jelly and a rice crispy treat.

the afternoon snack is wheatable crackers, jalapeno and chedder cheese, raisin oatmeal cookies, crackers and jelly and rice crispy treat.

They are nothing great but it is something if your hungry. If you are in Spirit Plus the snack is complimentary along with all drinks.

We now have contract catering with Gate Gourmet so hopefully the snacks will change soon for the better.

There is no milk at all, havent ever seen it in the 2+ years I have been here, the company says because we dont have a way to refrigerate it, and no hot chocolate, although that would be cool
Due to our ongoing efforts to reduce costs, the light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off until further notice.
