  • Delta JFK-LAX (photos)

hey Ijust arrived from my 2 trips with Delta Flight 1967 JFK-LAX and Delta Flight 1991 LAX-JFK.

    Delta 767-300ER
    JFK-LAX
    Flight 1967
no reg # i wasn't able to see it.

Well i went to the airport around 2:30 and arrived about 3:45. Terminal 3 at JFK is horrible i hate it so much, its so confusing and a pain in the @ss getting from the parking lot to the actual checkin area( no cafes no nuttin till u get into the gates) so i check in say goodbye to my mom and i'm off wait about an hour and about 5:25 boarding commences. i go in and have a seat at 31F nice seat nice view and comfortable seats also great pitch. so we pushback and we get a smoky start up "beautiful" then we start taxxing flaps start dropping and we wait like 20 minutes to go on 31L. we went on the runway waited 1 minute and those engines spooled up like mutha Fu#%@. Takeoff was soo powerful and lasted about 30-35 seconds. we climbed to about 35,000ft and service commenced. we landed 20 minutes early and i was kinda dissapointed not too much reversers were used and well LAX is cool and i went to friend house and goodnight.

here are sum pix i also have videos I'll see what i can do to put sum videos. oh by the way i really like the interior of the 767's they are really nice. the center bins are better than the newer interior in my opinion because seems like they go in more.

With your user name you should have been on an AA 762 .

Seriously I didn't think that DL used the international configured 763s on the transcons from JFK any more. (They even used to have a special version of BusinessElite - BusinessElite Transcontinental - for these flights.)

I agree that the old 767 interior is actually nicer than the new for the same reason - the center overhead bins, while presumably smaller, retract waaay up into the ceiling making the cabin feel very open and spacious. It's still a very nice modern looking interior and I can only imagine how ahead of its time it must have looked in the early '80s. DL's old 762s used to have a very '80s orange/brown interior but I think they're all the present blue/gray now just like the 763s and, for that matter, every other DL aircraft.

oh by the way i forgot to mention that when we landed as soon as we got off the runway onto a taxi way i am almost 100% sure i saw Singapore's A340-500 taking off for singapore. it went right over us. it lloked big too. it was kinda dark but i know it was Singapore not completely sure it was A340-500 bu those engines looked pretty big.
