Here it is:
4-30-04
CHS-LGA
US Airways Express (Chautauqua)
ERJ-145
12:50 PM
Seat 9A
Gate B-1
I got to the airport 1 hr before the flight, used the e-ticket check in (which was easy since no one in my family was checking bags), and were about to go through security. My dad realized he had his pocket knife with him and went to go mail it to himself, so I went on to the gate. I didn't really have time to get any pictures in the concourse, as we were so late already. I went ahead and got on the plane. The rest of my family got on later.
The flight attendent, Jenna, was in her early 30's, and spoke in a very stern, rude voice. I would have expected better, since there was a pamphlet in every seat pocket about how Chautauqua won the regional airline of the year award. We taxied out on time.
After a 29 second takeoff roll, we were off. As soon as we reached ther cruising altitude, Jenna started the drink service. She did not give the whole can to anyone, and she was almost rude. She acted as if we were not paying for her to be there and she was doing us a favor. I was disappointed with the service.
The CHS-LGA flight feels shorter and shorter every time I take it. I saw the Richmond, VA Airport from the air. From my point of view, their terminal looks large now, with the recent addition. I also got agreat view of downtown Philadelphia. On the approach, we came down right over the Upper West Side of Manhattan, turned over the Bronx, and came in for landing. I got some pictures during the descent and while we were taxing, but my camera ran out of batteries. I will post the pictures later.
Overall, they got me there on time, but the service was not great.
Aircraft 7/10 (it was clean, but it was an RJ)
Service 4/10 (left a lot to be desired in-flight)
Overall 7/10 (I got there on time)
