    UA1161
    Airbus A319
    BDL-ORD

We got to the airport around 4:30am and cheked in easily. Then we went to the gate area and i walked around.

We pushed back around 6am as scheduled we were the first United flight out that day. Engines were started and we taxied out to runway 6 behind an AA 738. Takeoff in the A319 was nice and smooth. After takeoff we turned west towards ORD. The flight was great with just a bit of turbulence in some areas. We got cookies that were pretty good and Channel 9 was operational. Chicago airspace was pretty busy.

After getting off the UA A319 we headed to the Air Canada gates where we had the boarding cards printed. I then got McDonalds because the Air Canada agent told us that there was a problem or something and that no meals would be served on our flight. After eating my food i decided to take some pics of the operations going on outside the window putting my hood up to the window to minimize reflections. It was then that this damn beeotch that worked for united told me it was against FAA regulations to take pics. I went to talk with her with my dad and she didn;t have a written copy of the "rule" which didn't actually exist cuz the ppl at Air Canada in ORD said there was no such rule. Anyways i was pretty infuriaded that that agent was making up rules but it was time to board AC783 to YVR...

We boarded normally and then pushed back. When we got pushed back i noticed that the Air Canada Trans Candaian retro scheme plane had just parked next to our gate but i couldn't get a good pic cuz it was backlit. We then taxied to the runway and waited for a few other departures to go ahead of us. Then it was our turn. Takeoff was nice and departed to the north and started the about 4 hour trip to YVR. The movie was "The Whole 10 Yards" it wasn't bad but not good either... just kinda dumb. So i watched that then went to nap for a while. The flight had some turbulence but that was nothing. Soon we were decending into YVR. It was cloudy at YVR but not too bad and we had a few turbulence bumps on the way down (as usual). We landed on 8L and taxied to the gate. Then went through customs.

Well that it.... i wrote this at the complementary box at the hotel so i can't have pix now. However i will post them when i get back next week.

      Very nice report.

One question- I know that United uses Terminal One at ORD- does Air Canada use Terminal Two? Thanks!

So I take it that you had to use the underground bridge? That is so weird...how they have the music playing in tune with the lights it's also like you are intoxicated!

My cousin (a f/a for Air Wis) says that somewhere in that tunnel there is a door to the United Crew Room. The Air Wis one is near gate F4.

Sorry you had to use the E concourse. Terminal Two is CRAP.

          Enjoy your time in Canada
