. MAS, same thing happen at MH. But just a small number of them are like this. Not only Caucasian but all foreigners will always get the best inflight services from MAS cabin crews. They seem to know which passenger is Malaysian & who is not. They are psykik i guess. Oopps, is my spelling (psykik) correct ?? Sorry my engrish is not bery good too, just like the new guy, what is his username ? something like J-Bird I only speak Bahasa Indonesia here. I think the psykik is the Bahasa Indonesia & the correct spelling for English should be "PSYCHIC", right ? correct me if i'm wrong, i don't have any English dictionary with me now.

    Great flight review =)
I'm going to fly on SIA myself the 14th of August when I'm going from Denmark to Australia (CPH-SIN-MEL/YMML), and I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed them! Can't wait myself now
They seem so great on photos too, but it's always nice to hear from people who have actually been there themselves and had a good experience! =)

    YEs, I agree with Eddie_AB6,

The four main airlines in South East Asia (MAS, GARUDA,RBA,SIA)
all have almost the same attire and it is one of the traditional attires of the Indonesian ethnic. Of course we don't want to get into the minute details of the ethnicity issue, but whats all the fuss about the Indian people and the way they behave on airplanes ? We cnanot generalize abt the races just because of a few incidences. It is only fair that you direct the comments on those particular people and not the entire community.

But nevertheless, let us have fun in this discussion forum.

It's not a sarong, it's a Batik, many people say that it's Kebaya too, no, it's not Kebaya or Sarong. It's a traditional uniform in 4 Southeast Asian countries (Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia & Brunei).

In the mid-90s, they wanted to introduce a new uniform (MAS not SIA), it consisted of 3 different uniforms for ladies. (re-design Batik, Chinese Cheong Sam, Indian Sari) so that it can represent the 3 biggest races in Malaysia (Malay, Chinese & Indian) but the government rejected it.

There are 4 Southeast Asian carriers using the Batik as their ladies uniform, (Malaysia Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Royal Brunei Airlines & some new Garuda Indonesia FSS).

    It's a nice report. Thanks.
Thanks for that info! Ha! TO think I flew 25,000 miles misinformed! Either way, those outfits are superb!

Why the extra travel?? Or you could have taken Kuwait? I do understand tho, you prob didnt want to travel with all those un behaved Indian people (no offense) I experince the same on PIA thats why i dont fly them anymore. Full of illterate people who act like they have never been on a plane before and cant behave themselves. Im happy that you enjoyed my home at terminal 4!!!
I guess you kinda forgot (or didn't know) I'm Indian.

    No offence taken.

You can't get up for the last 30 minutes when you are flying into DCA or your flight is diverted to IAD and you get to experience the muzzle of an air marshal's handgun. I don't see why DCA-JFK you would have to stay down...

Due to security restrictions, no passenger was allowed to get up the entire flight. The pilot said that if anyone were to get up, the plane must land at an alternate airport.
What the Fu*k!? Standing up... yea thats a real threat If someone got up and the plane had to land... would they arrrest them and charge them for standing up? I never knew that standing up was a crime in the US... but i guess it is. Now how do i get up from my computer to the downstairs or to my bed if i can't stand up cuz it's against the law.... mabey i'll crawl... or mabey thats illegal too .

I thought security paranoia has gotten as bad as it could.... but this sets a new low.

Do they give out cups for you too piss in if you need to? since you can't get up to go to the bathroom

You should see those annoying bratty kids who wont stop kicking your chair, and their mothers who talk so loud that the entire plane can hear them. And then the spilt food, and the clogged toilets which leak into the isles!!. I see why he flew SQ, and why I dont fly airlines like these! I never said I was better than anyone either!
If this is as credible as the info about the airport employees who steal everything...

You should be happy that you have been fortunate enough to fly around the world. Others may not be that fortunate. So when it's their first time flying, don't judge them.

You're not better than anyone just because your family moved to the US.
