Our school Drama team was off to Sitka for the first meet of the year. So we took to the fast ferry fairweather from Haines to Juneau. We arrived at 4 or 5 PM and our flight wasnt till 10 PM. All the team except me and four other guys stayed at the airport and ate. At the restraunt we got ripped off so badly. In that case we left them a mess We went down and watched a ball game, Malcom in The Middle, and The Simpsons. Then the rest of the team got back and we went up through security. Which was a breeze They did not even notice my Homeland Security hat :P Then while waiting for the plane to arrive, we practiced a mime, and I bugged people with my obbsesion with airplanes.

A plane landed but it was not ours. Finally our plane arrived, and a lot, and I mean alot of people poured out. Our plane was N775AS, a 737-4Q8. I had seat 25D.

Our 25 minute flight over was uneventful. In fact the flight attendants did not get up during the whole flight. I tried taking pics, but being dark, they did not out well. After 25 minutes we touched down, and taxied to the gate.

Then came Sunday. Our team got to the airport at about 4:45am for our 6:00 AM departure. Our plane was already there. We checked in, all three bags, then went and sat down. Finally security opened, and we piled through. It was fast and simple. Then came the boarding call, then they took up the wheelchair person. Then they did a "stampede load" or all rows at once . Finally I made it up the "mile long" jetway to our aircraft. N644AS, a 737-700 .

Today my seat was 7B After everybody was on board, we pushed back and got de-iced (yes, its cold out) which was a first for me. The captain came on and said that they put on extra fuel just in case they can't land in JNU. We finally started up and taxied out on to, then down the runway. At the end we did a 180, and powered up and off we went. From our 16 thousand foot cruising altitude I saw an awesome sunrise. Finally we started our descent for runway 26. We flew right through "the cut" and we had the best landing EVER (And the F/O was flying) We taxied to the gate and shutdown.

    Cleanness:10/10
    Helpfulness:10/10
    In flight service: 0/10
Entertainment: 10/10 (the barf bag version of Romeo and Juliet was great )
    Overall: 10/10

          Great report! Interesting stuff.

Btw, I noticed you put "Land of the Ice and Snow" as your location. That reminds me of a Led Zeppelin song.

          Happy Flying!
