  • Returning from Hawaii part 1

Well, after 10 days in paradise, it was time to head home. Since our flight left at 3 pm, we could sleep in. At about 1:30, we returned the car and headed over to the airport. There was a long line, since AA had the only service departing to the mainland, except for UA which left at 2:00. Once checked in, we sat down and enjoyed the sun. We then went through security. It was a long line, so we stood in line for about 15 minutes before being screened. I learned a lesson, never over fill the bins, or you might lose something. I almost lost my drivers license. It had fallen trough a crack in the X-ray machine. Finally, they found it. We then wandered down to our gate where we had to pass through security to check for fruit. While waiting for boarding to begin, I got some photos.

Then boarding began, we were in group 6 so we had to wait. Once we were on board, one of the FAs had bunny ears on(it was Easter Sunday).
We took our seat and once again found a blanket and pillow on every seat. We had a female FO today, a first for me. Once everybody was on board, we pushed back and taxied out. I the buzzsaw sound on take off. We made a right hand turn and headed out over the ocean. This was a very turbulent flight. They were unable to serve beverages or anything for an hour and a half. It was even bumpy at cruising altitude of FL290. Once things smoothed out for us, they served us. Here are some pics from inflight:

Once we landed we taxied to our gate. On the way we stopped for a long time for planes to go by and for a plane to leave our gate. We arrived right on time. I really enjoyed AA, this was my first time on them, and I would do it again.
